Finding your IP address
This
will depend on which Microsoft Windows operating system you are using.
Users
of 9x/ME should click on START – RUN and type winipcfg in the dialog box
Users
of 2000/XP should open a DOS window
and type ipconfig at the command prompt
Another
approach common to all operating systems is to use ping when you’re online –
at
the command prompt enter ping mybox (substituting the name of your computer for
mybox)
