One
of the advantages of ZoneEdit for an
inexperienced user like myself, is that there is no need to write a zone file as
such. Instead the entries are
made using a web interface where you fill in the blanks and then a zone file is
automatically uploaded to their servers.

The
editing process began with a warning that nameservers should be changed. I could
have continued editing and made the changes later but decided to inform freeparking
immediately. This is effected by the user through the freeparking
maintenance panel and is very straightforward:

I
simply followed the screens and entered the new Nameservers
as provided by ZoneEdit - see first screenshot.
Returning
to ZoneEdit I entered my IP address (A) and noted that it was already aware of
the nameserver switch (although when I typed in
nslookup
–type=NS www.fentyler.co.uk
the primary name server was still showing as ns3.ukdnsservers.co.uk – I
imagine this will change in a day or two)
